our story

in the beginning....

As a young child andrea has always had a fondness for all kinds of animals. rescuing injured and abandonned animals from a very young age, everyone that knew andrea would often refer to her as dr. dolittle.

saying that she could talk to the animals, it was a matter of understanding them and giving them proper care and respect. this is exactly what she does.

spending countless hours waking through the forest , on every trail and beach she could access searching for birds and little critters. spending a lot of time observing their behaviours and their natural habitat. andrea would come across many animals in need of some help, some injured or malnourished she would rescue and rehabilitate them.

this passion for animals was never ending and runs in her blood. aspiring to be a biologist one day!

she wanted to share her love for animals with everyone she met.

having children at a young age , she taught her children how to raise animals and treat them with love and respect.

starting a non profit rescue, all out of her own pocket for these poor animals whos owners no longer wanted or cared for them.

many neglected and some on the brink of death, andrea gave them the proper care and dedication and brought them back to life.

and this is where it all started....

all of our animals are a big part of our family. they are raised around our children and played with many times a day.

they are included in every aspect of our daily lives.

we take pride in our ownership of these wonderful creatures and they are a huge part of our family

many of our birds andrea hand- raised and fed herself, spending many hours a day and night feeding them just like you would a newborn baby.

this business was created because of andreas many years of experience with these animals and the passion she has caring for and adoring them.

it takes many hours of dedication: cleaning up after these animals, keeping them well fed and housed, their medical care and experience and also taking the time to play with them and give them lots of love daily.

as a family we enjoy nothing more than doing this and also sharing our love and experience with others.

sharing proper information on how to care for these animals and educating children and their families on the animals needs, will better prepar them should they decide to add one of these animals to their family.

by exploring where these animals originally came from, the housing, diet, their likes and dislikes we become empowered and feel more confident when interacting with them.

this gives both us and the animals a better experience!!!
